POSITION TITLE: Postdoctoral fellow
Sophia Magkouta is a biologist. She was born in Athens. She studied Biology in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and subsequently she obtained an M.Sc. diploma in Microbial Biotechnology. She has a category C diploma of the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (F.E.L.A.S.A.).
Her Ph.D. thesis was on The effects of mastic oil, its analogs and constituents in tumor angiogenesisheld in G.P. Livanos and Marianth Simou Laboratories of Thorax Foundation.
Current position:
a. Sophia Magkouta is working as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Laboratory of Histology-Embryology, Molecular Carcinogenesis Group, Athens Medical school, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece
b. Sophia Magkouta is also Academic fellow of Nursery School, in the University of Thessaly (Greece) and she is responsible for Clinical Biochemistry, Clinical Microbiology of infectious diseases and Genetics lessons.
